Huzzah! As the pandemic wanes, I will once again be attending events IN-PERSON!!!

Saturday, January 14, 2022 – 5:30pm
Arisia: Broad Universe Rapid Fire Reading – Alcott
Arisia has returned to in-person attendance! Join Broad Universe on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 5:30pm ET to find out what we’ve all been writing during the pandemic. For those new to Rapid Fire Readings, each author will have about 8 minutes to read a selection. Don’t miss the chance to discover your next favorite author! A short Q&A will follow the reading. There will be treats and prizes! Note: due to the large number of readers at this event and the fact that I have a dedicated reading on Sunday, I may get only two minutes to read, but I will definitely be in attendance.

Your host is: E.C. Ambrose
Authors: Anne E.G. Nydam, Carol Gyzander, Dianna Sanchez, J.Z. Weston, Kathryn Sullivan, LJ Cohen, Randee Dawn She/Her, Suzanne Reynolds-Alpert, and Trisha J. Wooldridge
Sunday, January 15, 2023 – 2:30pm
Arisia: Reading – Alcott
Correction: I DO NOT have a reading all to myself! (Whew!) I’ll be sharing this reading spot with Kim Carter and Marc Vun Cannon. I’m planning to read from An Elf’s Equations and The Young Explorers’ Adventure Guide, but if there’s something in particular you’d like me to read, feel free to ask!

Sunday, January 15, 2023 – 7pm
Arisia: Writing Series, Sequels, and Spin-offs – Marina Ballroom 4
It’s no secret that book series have a better chance of discoverability. What’s the secret to writing a successful series? How do you plan and develop multi-book series that sell? Create series arcs? And how do you keep track of multiple plotlines and characters across many books? How can you expand existing material to create a series? And when is it time to pull the plug and move onto other things? Join me, LJ Cohen Cat Scully, and Kevin McLaughlin (over 100 novels!!!) as we reveal our series struggles and secrets.
